About

I am Jules Phariss, pronounced ( Jules fairies) with a french accent. 🙂 I am a self-taught artist, an author, chef, an organic hairstylist, a gratitarian and more.

I live my life with a strong sense of gratitude. I trust that a cup of gratitude, a cup of love, and a pinch of adversity to keep it real is one of the most delicious recipes in life. I am inspired by nature… human nature, and all nature itself.

A Doodle Day

I spent most of my life being a hairstylist. Mainly a conventional, turned organic, hair color specialist.  I received a plethora of treasures  being a hairstylist. I learned how to be patient, loving, supportive, driven, compassionate, and in addition to being creative with my craft, I learned so much more. Yet my heart always yearned to write, paint and draw. I had been expressing myself through writing since childhood, however, I never really could draw anything but stick people. Then one day…

The Angelhearts and A Gratifly was born

There are a few scrumptious things in my life that I indulge in every chance I get. One is my version of a nut butter and jelly, green smoothie. The second one is to be surrounded in a pool of love, laughter, hugs and kisses with my family, and friends. The third is to draw, paint, cook, write and design-through any form of creative expression. I always had the mind-set that whether I knew what I was doing or not, I did it. I jumped in head first because the result of the experience would always end with gratitude.  One day I began thinking about how I could create a symbol that represents  2 of most powerful vibrations in terms of manifesting miracles. To me that is love & gratitude. There is more to this magical story and I promise to present it to you eventually. But for now…

Come play in the magical garden of the Gratiflies.

These etherial beings are cousins to the dragonflies and can only be seen with the heart.  Thank you for being here and becoming part of the gratifly tribe. My wish for you is to become empowered through the beauty of nature’s gifts and messages. I will continue contributing these message’s through my artful creative designs. As I trust that each one will be a new discovery of myself and hopefully for you, the same. We are all nature. No more or less as precious or honored to be here as the flower that shares its beautiful fragrance or the venomous snake that leaves us clinging for breath. At times, life will offer us adversity, and hardship. Yet despite this, nothing rings more truthful to me than when we perceive our lives through a sense of love and gratitude,  the rains of empowerment will wash over us. The sun light of love will nurture us. And we will shine on as we are born to be.

Live as light & love,

Jules

Just in case you’d care to dance into the insights & life of this gratfily girl, just a little while longer...

IMG_0160 I love and have the highest respect for children. I believe they are all nature’s supreme beings.

I perceive life as recipes for the mind, body and spirit. I have many and will share them all with you.

I value freedom most in life. I do my best not to compromise those values.

I am in a relationship with a man named Jared for 13 years whom I refer to as my “Happy Pil.” ( Partner in Life). He is an amazingly gifted massage therapist, and Physical Therapist Assistant . And yes, I get foot massages anytime I want, yay! Grateful.

I am happiest when I am spending time on the beach. Very grateful to live within driving distance of the water. Someday we will live even closer. Sometimes I feel like I may be a mermaid.

I am madly in love with people and nature in general. I trust that the value in us is that we all have something to teach and we all have something to learn from each other.

If you were to ask me what I admire most about myself, I would say that it is that I have the courage to follow my truth…which is Love.

I was born half Italian, a pinch of French, German, and American Indian. I love to laugh, to cry, and to eat.  I love to dance because I trust that doing so connects heaven to earth and gateways to other dimensions. I feel it’s essential to listen to your favorite music when cooking for it makes the food taste better.

My favorite quote is : “Go slow, you see better.” Joey Spinazola

I like the blog very much. Your photo is beautiful (as are you)! You have a grammatical error however in the fifth sentence…it should be hope (singular) as opposed to hopes (plural). Sorry, I am anal! Outside that it looks and sounds great! Keep up the good work. I love you.

  5. Go green concept for hair color is great. Would love you to speak about ingredients in ammonia free hair color that are used as substitutes. Do you still need to add peroxide? Is the lasting power of these products as effective? You see, I’ve got lots to learn, but learn like a sponge.
Thanks, for the info and also for Liking my blog.

    • Thank you Lois. And yes, we still use a peroxide lotion. Peroxide when mixed with Ammonia is what you have to worry about. So if there is no ammonia, there is no danger. Peroxide is Water (H2O) + Oxygen (O) = H2O2. A low grade peroxide is so gentle we can rinse our mouths with it. There are much higher levels of peroxide that require more knowledge before attempting to use it. I will be writing an article soon on Ammonia free color and peroxide. 🙂

      • Thank you for the explanation! I’lkl look forward to reading your next article.
        Best,
        Lois

  13. You were or are following a blog called opt4 whose goal was to prevent domestic violence and promote nonviolence. My name is Chad Herman, Visionary/Motivational speaker and I was writing that blog for over 3 years. Everything you saw on that blog was my creation…and I hope you liked it. Unfortunately, because of federal budget cuts, I no longer am able to keep up that blog. I hope that others will in my absence, but I don’t know. With that said: I have my own blog, motivatingforpositivechange.wordpress.com dedicated to the idea that “if we all did something to help a cause we truly believe in, we could change the world.” I still write about gender equality and nonviolence, in addition to multiple otrher causes and ways to continue creating positive change. Please check out motivatingforpositivecghange.wordpress,com. I promise you won’t be dissapointed!
