Today is the first of 2014! Now is the time to start thinking about the new things you would like to bring into your life for 2014. An excellent and profound practice to start this year is to embrace the power of “Choice.” Every decision you make on a second to second basis will either benefit your goals or distract you from them. You can use this method for every aspect of your life. You make the decision, you respond to the situation, if your action is alignment with the good of all then you have choosen most efficiently. The more often you make the choice to stand up for what is right for you instead of appeasing others at your own expense than the brighter your inner flame will shine and the more capable you will be to pursue higher goals. Sometimes you will have to say “no” in order to say yes for yourself. So if you are trying to become a healthy person and have decided you will pursue a natural diet consisting of whole foods and you go to a gathering where the others have decided they will continue to eat the SAD (standard american diet), so there are no foods available for you to eat that will keep you true to your desire. What do you do? Choice 1- eat small portions and pretend to enjoy or Choice 2- when in Rome? Follow the crowd and chow down. or choice 3- Say no and either fast for the party or snack on the veggies. You will have to decide. This also goes for conversations or even self talk. Your words you use can create magic or they can can be used to make you a victim. You choose. Choose Wisely in every decision you make throughout the day and you will surely have a blessed 2014. Take the time to choose what you want to create in your life and then take action towards it by consciously making the small choices from moment to moment that are in agreement with the overall goal. Life should not be a struggle and you should feel vibrant and full of energy and vitality. So why are so many people running around stressed out and why does our society have so much disease? My guess is that people are over thinking life. If everyone would just take a deep breathe and slow down a wee bit, they would see that by simplifying there lives; life becomes more manageable.
